Holiness, House Churches and Healing

If i post every six months or so...twice a year, is that good enough?
There are so many things to talk about, to explore and to listen to or read.
When i watch our grandson seek, explore, reach and in his wonderful childish innocence, ask...i know that our Great LORD expects the same from us.
What is holiness, as He is holy? What does it mean to meet for small, cell, study, growth groups or come together on Sunday? Can Jesus' healing ministry happen today?
If you know the answers...let's talk about it. If you want to know, and if your heart is broken with joy and sorrow at the same time...we need to look into His Word and ask the questions as we worship in spirit and in truth.

Mike,

I think holiness is primarily the work of God the Holy Spirit in the human heart, which changes us from being selfish and our hearts being turned inward, to our hearts being oriented outward toward God and our neighbor in complete, wholistic love. Not only this, but this complete love works for the good of our neighbor and the glory of God. We no longer want to sin, and we only desire good.

That's what I believe holiness is, and that's what John Wesley believed. I don't think it's too much to ask for God to purify us from ALL unrighteousness, and to keep us from sin, as John says that "whoever has been born of God does not sin" (1 John 3:9).

speakin' to my heart Mike...
